It's just a series of AI matches (the skins are cosmetic) strung together that can be pretty challenging. The co-op campaign in towerfall, as well as the unlockables, both felt more rewarding. The meat of the game lies in the multiplayer.The deathmatches can be hectic and the different maps have good variety and lots of fun mechanics such as water that bends shots or slippery ground with spike traps. However, there aren't any modifiers outside of this. So there are no power ups to add flavor to matches, just the same jetpack, reflecting shield and gun. These mechanics are fun and by no means broken, but they don't have the same kind of variety.It's an ok game on its own and I think the art style and more straightforward pure mechanics will appeal to people, but I do not think it is for everyone. If you are looking for a reason to put towerfall away, this isn't quite it.. ChargeShot is a wonderful little time waster, albeit a bit monotonous. The graphics are charming, the environments sufficiently entertaining, and the music is very well done. I would have preferred if the characters possessed unique skills, but I understand that the skins are purely cosmetic and lend a very abstract, pong sort of feel to the game. If you enjoy mindless, reflex based local multiplayer, you could do a whole lot worse than picking up ChargeShot on sale.. This game is phoenominal for singleplayer and multiplayer. The combat is fun and simple, while the controls are easy to learn. The simplicity of it coupled with the replayability is astounding. You should deffinatly pick this up, especially while it is on sale for $.99.. So fun! Really dig the unlockables, and the art is so cool. Very akin to Samurai Gunn and Towerfall, but still unique in gameplay and vibe. So good for a party night with friends, and controls are great for new players.. There's a fine art to developing a game that can illicit feelings of real rage towards your nearest and dearest friends and ChargeShot has managed to distill it its most potent form. The only regret we had after playing was that there weren't another two people present to push it to new levels of psychological torture.ChargeShot hits all the right buttons and is an easy inclusion into any list of 'games to set up at house parties'. Simple to pick up and nigh impossible to master.. Very fun and polished game.If you want a change from other local multiplayer games like samurai gunn.. Its a nice game, hard to control tough :P.. To state the obvious this game is fun, especially having a few friends and some controllers. And even if you don't have friends the game stays interesting with smart bots and good humor. Overall I've had a great experience with both multiplayer and singleplayer! Good price too, I'm thrilled to pay so little to have hours upon hours of entertainment and ruin oh so many friendships... Absolutely worth the $7.99 and hey who doesn't want to climb the leaderboards in chance to become an official character!? Recommended if you're a fan of games like samurai gunn or 0space.
